Now with a degree in Business Administration from Purdue University, CaLee has built a career on strengthening systems and leading with integrity. From overseeing regulatory success to building quality assurance programs that directly elevate resident care, she is known for creating environments where teams thrive and residents feel at home. At her previous organization, she led census growth and built community partnerships that left a lasting mark.

What fuels her is ensuring every resident is seen, heard, and cared for, and that every staff member has the support they need to make that happen. She leads her team with a hands-on, people-first approach, connecting operational excellence with compassion in action. Under CaLee’s leadership, Colonial Manor of Elma continues to grow as a center of trust, dignity, and resident-centered care.

Lacey’s nursing career spans over two decades, but her roots in long-term care run even deeper. Beginning as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Lacey worked her way through nearly every clinical role—Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, and now Director of Nursing. This journey has equipped her with an exceptional understanding of the entire continuum of care and the empathy that only firsthand experience can bring.

With five years of DON leadership and over 20 years in the field, Lacey blends her deep clinical knowledge with a strong commitment to mentoring future caregivers. She finds fulfillment in educating CNAs and nurses, helping them grow into compassionate and confident professionals. For Lacey, it’s not just about managing care; it’s about fostering relationships. The connections she’s built with residents and their families are what she values most.

Lacey holds her LPN from Kaplan University and earned her associate degree in nursing from Purdue Global University. She’s currently advancing her education, working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. With a heart for caregiving and a vision for excellence, Lacey continues to lead her team with humility, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to quality care.

Assisted Living Manager, Afton Oaks Independent & Assisted Living

Jason has dedicated nearly two decades to caring for tenants and residents at Afton Oaks. Beginning his career as a universal aide shortly after graduating, Jason went on to earn his CNA license and later his CMA license. Over the years, he worked as a CNA, served as a van driver, and even stepped in to assist with maintenance before assuming his current role as Assisted Living Manager in 2020.

During his tenure at Afton Oaks, Jason has helped guide the facility through three state surveys with no deficiencies, a testament to his commitment to high standards and quality care. What motivates him most, however, are the tenants and residents he serves each day. Jason strives to ensure that every tenant has a good day, treating each individual with the same care and respect he would give his own grandparents.
